16-year-old soprano Adelina Mukhametzhanova was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan and currently lives in Faribault, Minnesota. Adelina began her musical journey nine years ago, studying piano and voice. She has been studying voice under the guidance of Gulnara Nurgalieva for the past 5 years.
Adelina's skills have been recognized through numerous accolades. Most recently, she won first prize in the prestigious Thursday Musical Competition and emerged as the winner of the MTNA "Senior Performance" Competition, following several first-place finishes in regional divisions. Her accomplishments in 2022 were equally impressive, with a victory in the NATS National Musical Theatre Competition, a finalist position and second prize in the Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Opera Singers, and a special prize from Spivakov that led to a performance at the 2023 Spivakov Festival. Additionally, she was a finalist in the Kazakh Kids Voice. Prior to that, she won first prize at the 2021 Prima Nota Fest and reached the finals of the 2021 Central Asia's Got Talent. In 2020, she was honored as the youngest winner of the "Altyn Adam" Choice of the Year award for creative achievements, and she was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall as a First Place winner of the 2019 American Protege International Vocal Competition among many other earlier prizes.
Aside from her musical endeavors, Adeina has a passion for sports, including cooking, swimming, running, and dancing. She has also earned several medals in synchronized swimming.
