Marianne Rose Villar-Córdova Scott has been studying the piano since the age of 4. She has won numerous piano competitions. She was named the First Prize winner in her category at the Frost Young Artist International Piano Competition for two consecutive years (2019 and 2020). At the age of 6, she won the first prize in the Solo Division (Category A), and at the age of 7 she won the First Prize in the Concerto Division (Category A) and made her solo debut with orchestra performing the Haydn Divertimento in C Major. In 2021 she received First Prize in her category at the Great Masters International Piano Competition, 2nd Prize at the 6th Propiano International Competition, Silver Medal at the North American Virtuoso International Music Competition. In 2022 she was one of the top three winners at the Princeton International Piano Festival, and in 2023 she received 3rd prize at the Radda Rise International Piano Competition.
In the Summer of 2022, Marianne Rose was awarded scholarships to participate in the Palmetto International Music Festival and the Sewanee Music Festival Strings Academy where she was the youngest participant. She performs regularly at student recitals and community concerts and she is the youngest recipient of the Coral Gables Music Club Annual Student Scholarship in Miami, Florida.
Marianne Rose has also studied the violin since she was 6 years old with concert violinist Mari-Liis Päkk Calloway in Miami, Florida and has participated at the National Federation of Music Clubs in the solo and concerto division obtaining Superior ratings. Also in this instrument, she received in 2023 the second higher score at the Orchestra
Omaha Young Artists Concerto Competition and First Prize in the Fanny Mendelssohn International Music Competition. Since her family relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, she has begun taking violin lessons with Dr. Jonathan Sturm and continues her piano studies with Dr. Marion Scott and Rosa Scott.
