Julia Jones is a 16-year old violinist from New York City. She started to take her violin lessons with Viktor Basis at the age of 5 at the Kaufman Music Center.

At an early age, Julia became a top prize winner of many national and international competitions. In 2013, she won First Prize at the Cremona International Competition. In 2016, Julia became semi-finalist of the 8th International Spohr Competition in Weimar, Germany, and she received Grand Prize at the 4th ENKOR International Competition. In 2019, Julia became a Bronze Winner at the National MTNA Competition. As a winner of the Kaufman Music Center Concerto Competition, Julia performed with Kaufman Music Center Orchestra at Merkin Hall in 2018, conducted by Nathan Hetherington, and in the following year she performed Sibelius Violin Concerto with Park Avenue Chamber Symphony under conductor David Bernard. In December 2019, Julia was invited to perform Bach Double Violin Concerto with European Youth Spirit Orchestra (EYSO) around Italy under button of Maestro Igor Coretti Kuret.

Julia attended various music festivals in Europe and the United States. She performed at Merkin Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Ann Goodman Hall, National Bastille Opera, Paris, Museo Del Violino in Cremona, Italy.

Julia performed at many charitable concert such as Fundraising events benefiting Kaufman Music Center where she performed Bach Double Violin Concerto with Joshua Bell. She became part of NGO Committee on Migration, and YouthArt Force where she performs at the charitable concerts benefiting different causes.

In 2018 -2019, she became a recipient of merit scholarship from Kaufman Music Center Julia participated in masterclass with Dmitri Berlinsky, Felix Andrievsky, Vadim Gluzman, Cathrine Cho, Alma Vamos, Shlomo Mintz, Sungsic Yang, Cihat Askin, Sonig Tchakerian, Natalia Likhopoi, Viktor Tretiakov, Cho-Liang Lin, Gregory Kalinovsky, Sheryl Staples, Philip Quint.ß

In the summer of 2018, Julia joined The Perlman Music Program where she studies with Itzhak Perlman, Li Lin, and Cathrine Cho.
