Sidney Wong is a Hong Kong American violinist from Great Neck, New York. She currently studies violin under the tutelage of Francesca dePasquale and has been playing the violin for eight years. She attended the Juilliard MAP program for four years and was accepted to precollege at Manhattan School of Music in 2020. In her time at the Juilliard MAP program, Sidney participated in the orchestra as concertmaster numerous times and got a chance to play in the MAP program’s previously exclusive string quartet twice. She has also been able to perform with Juilliard MAP’s first string trio. Sidney has participated in the Chamber Music Society Young Musicians’ Program twice, and along with two musician friends, she has formed her own piano trio: Trio Lucciola. A few months after its creation, Trio Lucciola won third place in the International Grande Music Competition.
