Sarah Rogerson graduated from Texas Christian University in 2014 with a B.S. in Political Science and a Minor in Music, all while studying cello under the tutelage of Dr. Jesus Castro- Balbi and Colombian cellist Laura Ospina.
Sarah is very passionate about teaching cello. She began her teaching career with the B Sharp Music Youth Program in Fort Worth, TX, a program influenced by El-Sistema. As a Teaching Artist, Sarah learned to appreciate the importance of bringing music to communities. Currently, Sarah teaches privately at various schools, including the prestigious Rojas School of Music founded by Colombian Pianist, Eduardo Rojas. She also maintains her own teaching blog at www.sarahnicholerogerson.com, where you’ll find tips, reviews, and personal adventures with her cello.
As a cellist, you’ll find Sarah performing often for musical theater productions, with major artists, such as Michael Bublé, and local ensembles and symphony orchestras. She is a member of the Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra and enjoys collaborating with alternative and experimental rock bands and composing music for cello.
